The Bloomsbury Colleges group was set up in 2004 and currently consists of the following 5 Higher Education Institutions:
- Birkbeck College
- London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
- Royal Veterinary College
- School of Oriental and African Studies
- UCL Institute of Education
Collaboration between these member colleges creates opportunities for institutions to deepen their existing research connections while complementing their individual missions.
Bloomsbury Colleges PhD Studentships
Since 2007 the Bloomsbury Colleges have offered outstanding interdisciplinary research opportunities through the Bloomsbury Colleges PhD Studentships programme. Further information, including current PhD studentship opportunities, is available here.
The physical proximity of the colleges is a key feature in facilitating contacts and for enhancing the capacity for shared support, facilities, services and professional advancement for staff and students in the 5 institutions.
